Paladins take their adventures seriously, and even a mundane mission is, in the heart of the paladin, a personal test - an opportunity to demonstrate bravery, to learn tactics, and to do good in the world. Divine power protects these warriors of virtue, warding off harm, protecting them from disease, healing them and their allies, and guarding against fear. Divine power also guides their sword arms, making them among the most effective warriors against undead and evil outsiders. Many of the paladin's special abilities also benefit from a high Charisma score.
Narfell is set in the Forgotten Realms, where paladins are required to represent a patron deity from the official books. Because we are a roleplaying server, your character will be expected to advance their deity's dogma in addition to the paladin code. You'll find a wealth of information on Forgotten Realms deities online.
In Narfell, Paladin's must take 4 consecutive levels before multiclassing into other classes. They are also only allowed to multiclass into classes associated with their order.
To browse the known Paladin orders of Narfell, see Paladin Orders.
For a more in depth set of rules around multiclassing and how it affects playing a Paladin on Narfell, see multiclassing rules.
If a character breaks these rules, they will not be allowed to take another level of Paladin and are no longer considered part of the order.
Paladins in Narfell have the ability to Detect Evil via the "Detect Evil" tool and the chat command "!detect evil". More info can be found here
