One of the keys to enjoying playing together is respect. Although in-character actions may be convey disrespect to other characters in game, OOC communications should not.
Although Narfell's staff attempts to promote a welcoming and inclusive environment, we understand certain types of roleplay and personalities can make players or staff members uncomfortable with eachother. Players and staff members are NOT required to play with others or participate in events they do not enjoy.
World and character development often involves consequences. In-character conflict will happen and consequences may affect characters. Although OOC communication can often be considered metagaming, it is welcomed if it can prevent future OOC grief or issues. Actions like threatening characters (PCs and NPCs), sexual conduct, playing evil/chaotic characters and so forth may have extreme consequences similar to how these actions would be taken in the real world. Be prepared for strong IC consequences. Players who do not wish for such consequences, should refrain from IC actions that would prompt them.
Not everything in the world has been prepared to interact without DM presence. In the same way that one cannot dig a hole and it to be represented in the PW without a DM, conversations with and attacking friendly NPCs will not always result in meaningful change. If you wish for a permanent effect to come out of actions then it must be arranged, planned, and approved well in advance so that the development team can make the appropriate changes and the DM team can evolve story around it.
This page and policy pertains mostly to in game actions. For forum specific guidelines, please see the Forum Code of Conduct
Actions included in or similar to those listed below are subject to warnings and bans. Narfell uses a three strike policy for warnings that can escalate to bans:
Any further transgressions will result in you being permanently banned from Narfell's game server, forums, and Discord channels. Any attempt to circumvent a disciplinary action (getting around a Discord ban, logging in game after a server reset when you are still temp banned) will be met with harsher discipline if/when discovered, up to and possibly including a permanent ban.

Raising instances of items listed above to staff members are helpful, although we refrain from acting without concrete evidence. You can provide such evidence via screen captures of direct messages and tells that show instances of the issue, OOC feedback asking for it to stop, and continued display of inappropriate behavior.
