Neverwinter Nights defines seven races for players to choose from: dwarf, elf, gnome, half-elf, half-orc, halfling and human. Each race comes with special abilities that help define it and contribute to its roleplaying style.
Narfell expands on this selection by adding custom subraces.
A subrace can be selected by choosing a base race during character creation, followed by clicking on the subrace button then manually entering the name of the subrace.
The following subraces are permitted without application.
Base Race: Dwarf
Stats: +2 Con, -2 Dex (shows up in game as -2 Dex, +2 Cha)
Base Race: Elf
Stats: +2 Int, -2 Con (shows up in game as +2 Int, -2 Dex)
Base Race: Elf
Stats: +2 Dex, -2 Int (shows up in game as +2 Con, -2 Int)
Base Race: Elf
Stats: +2 Str, +2 Dex, -2 Con, -2 Int, -2 Cha (shows up in game as +2 Str, -2 Int, -2 Cha)
Base Race: Halfling
Speak without Sound: the ability to communicate telepathically with any (one) creature within 20' just as if speaking with him or her. They must share a common language
Ghostwise Halflings do not receive the standard Halfling +1 racial bonus on all saving throws
Base Race: Halfling
Strongheart Halflings do not receive the standard Halfling +1 racial bonus on all saving throws
Free Feat: Weapon Finesse
Races and subraces other than those which appear here require a Special Race Application submitted to the DM team. You may under no circumstances play such a character without prior approval.
