Eldritch Knights were arcane warriors of Faerûn who devoted their lives to the study of both martial fighting styles and the practice of the Art.
- Casting: Arcane spells of 3rd circle or higher.
- Class: 2 levels of any of the following: fighter, ranger, paladin, barbarian
- Skills: Discipline 5 ranks, Spellcraft 10 ranks
- Hit Die: D6
- Proficiencies: An Eldritch Knight does not gain any additional weapon or armor proficiencies.
- Skill Points: 2 + Int Modifier. (Skills available as of build 918A are fighter AND wizard.)
- Spells per Day: Upon gaining a level, the eldritch knight gains new spells per day as if they had also gained a level in their arcane class. They do not learn any new spells through this ability, but for wizards it can allow higher-level spells to be learned through other means (i.e. from scrolls or later leveling as a wizard).
- Effective Caster Level: (As of build 918A+) At levels 5 and 10, the Eldritch Knight gains an effective caster level. Note that this DOES NOT grant them spell slots of any kind, but DOES grant them things such as longer spell durations, more firebrand damage dice, and higher dispel tolerance.
